Rainy Day - May 20, 2018

Everyone has a perfect birthday set in their mind. Some people want to go out and party and be with friends. Other people just want the day to relax and spend time with family. For me, it's a mixture of both. May 20 was my birthday, I turned 19 years old. The day before, I went out with some friends to go get coffee and talk about life. That's the most party you'll get out of me. Then, on my birthday, my family got up early and got breakfast at Bob Evan's. My Dad was leaving for a business trip later that morning, so he wanted to take me out. It was really nice to be able to spend time with the family. With all of our work and school schedules, finding time can be hard. So, my dad left, then my sister, mother, and I went to go do a little bit of shopping at the nearest mall. Then, we drove to Bowling Green to go to their local flea market. We had been wanting to go for a while, but never really found the time. And I am so glad, we found this time to go. Looking at other peoples "junk" and older things/memorabilia is fascinating to me. Seeing what different people used during different time periods and the things that were considered normal for that time period, is amazing. By far my favorite item I found, though, the Agfa Color - Agnar Optima I. From what I found this vintage style camera was made from 1959-1960. And I purchased it for $6.50.

I need to do a little more research on this camera, but hopefully once I find film, I might be able to take pictures with it. I am super excited. After the flea market, we went back home. It had been a pretty rainy day, but it slowed to a light drizzle when we got home, so I decided to take my Sony out and see what I could get. From stepping in puddles, getting drenched, and dodging raindrops so the camera doesn't get wet, it was a pretty fun time and I had a great birthday.
